A Message from Ms. Elmslie!
Dear Glencairn Community,
We hosted a wonderful (although wet!) Track and Field Day for junior students this Wednesday. Thank you to Ms. Cable, Ms. Brown and all the junior educators for their efforts supporting students with their athletics. Also thank you to our School Council members, Ms. Hill and Ms. Lambert for braving the weather and running a station for us. Some athletes will be moving on to the regional Track and Field event on Friday, June 6, 2025. More information will follow about this day.
We are looking forward to welcoming new Kindergarten students and their families next Thursday May 29, 2025 at 6:30 pm! Thank you to Ms. Martin for taking the lead on organizing us to welcome our new students to the school and all of the Early Years team for being available and supporting the event.
We are really looking forward to Grey Jay Fest on June 5, 2025 beginning at 5:00 pm. It is very important that the students attend the event with ‘their’ adults and not other adults that may be their friends’ parents. It is unfortunate but we had some student alumni attend Grey Jay Fest last school year and committed some significant vandalism while they were here at the school. It is for this reason we are reminding students that they must come to the event with their parents. Thank you for your understanding and support with this.
