Glencairn will welcome approximately 300 JK-6 students during the 2017-2018 school year. After finishing Gr. 6, students attend Laurentian PS for Gr. 7 and 8. Extended day options are available for JK to grade 3 students and Youth Development after school programs are offered for students in grades 4-6.
Glencairn Public School is an inclusive learning community that is committed to provide opportunities for each and every student to grow and succeed. We are honoured to be the orthopaedic site in Kitchener, and learn alongside a medically fragile Developmental Disabilities class and an ECO (Environmentally Controlled Opportunity) class. Our diverse population creates an environment of caring and acceptance, and our students are excellent at always lending a helping hand when needed. We are proud of their academic accomplishments, and the way that they show such amazing citizenship.
At Glencairn, we have staff and students with severe allergies to scents, therefore Glencairn is a scent free school. Please refrain from wearing the following scents when entering our building: cigarette smoke, perfume, colognes, aftershaves, hairspray, hand lotion, and other scented hair and body products.
At Glencairn, we have a dynamic team of professionals that work together to produce a learning environment that encourages academic excellence, while also creating an inclusive atmosphere of respect.
